Summary

NB ChromaticTuner analyzes audio in real time to detect pitch and display tuning information. It requires no user account, network connectivity, or personal data. No audio is ever recorded or transmitted.

Data We Collect

By default, the app is not intended to collect personal data for advertising or analytics purposes. Configuration data entered by the user, such as connection settings, may be stored locally on the user’s device only to enable the app to function properly.

How Data Is Used

Locally stored preference values (such as reference pitch) are used only to restore your configuration the next time the plugin is opened. No data is used for advertising or analytics.

Third-Party Sharing

The app is not intended to sell user data or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. Data may be transmitted only to the user-configured access-control infrastructure necessary for the app’s operation.

Microphone / Audio Access

ChromaticTuner works in two modes, each with different audio access behaviour. When used as a standalone app, it requests microphone permission directly from iOS in order to listen to your instrument through the device microphone or a connected audio interface. When used as an AUv3 plugin inside a host app (AUM, Cubasis, GarageBand, etc.), it receives audio through the host's audio session — microphone permission is then managed by the host app, not by ChromaticTuner directly. In both cases, audio is processed exclusively in real time and is never stored or transmitted.

Support & Feedback

Help and Feedback

I can’t open the app from the host.
Open the standalone ChromaticTuner app at least once after installation — iOS requires this before AUv3 plugins are registered. Then restart your host and look for ChromaticTuner in the plugin browser.
The app opens, but the command doesn’t work.
Verify that audio is reaching the plugin. In AUM or Cubasis, ensure the input channel feeding the plugin is active and showing a signal.
Can I change the A4 reference frequency?
Yes. The reference pitch can be adjusted within the plugin interface (useful for ensembles tuning to 432 Hz - 445 Hz). Your setting is saved locally.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Send an email to office@nobodysbanda.ro with your device model, iOS version, host app and version, and a description of the issue.
